I was two weeks early for the Tin Hua Festival, but here you can see the bamboo
poles being assembled for the festivals. Like Chinese New Year, the Tin Hua Festival, which celebrates a 12th century legend of a young girl who
saved her two brothers from drowning during a terrible storm. In addition to the
decorations at the temples, the fishing boats are also decked out with flags and banners
and there are parades and more lion dances.
