Here you can experience the steepness of the Wall. The Great Wall at Badaling was constructed beginning in 1368 and continued almost 200 years. The interior of the Wall is a mixture of tamped soil and rubble, covered by stones on the sides and topped by a layer of bricks. This area of the Great Wall was carefully restored in 1957.
