Just to the east of the Hong Kong Convention Center is the Causeway Bay Cargo Handling Basin. Causeway Bay once really was that: a bay until developers filled it in with sand and made land there. The long-standing joke there in HK is that soon you will be able to walk from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island, meaning that they might fill in the deep Victoria Harbor. This was my last day in Hong Kong, spent wandering the entire day on the island.
